CITY OF BLACK HAWK HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION
The City of Black Hawk is seeking residents to fill vacancies on the Historic Preservation Commission. The Commission is responsible for reviewing certificates of appropriateness, applications for historic grants, nominations or designations for landmarks, proposed adoption of changes or amendments to other plans and making recommendations to City Council. Commission members are expected to attend meetings on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month and training as necessary. While not required, applicants would preferably have professional experience in preservation related disciplines such as: architecture, landscape architecture, architectural history, archaeology, history and planning, or related disciplines such as building trades, real estate, law, cultural geography and cultural anthropology.
